Delete Your BookBooth Account

You can permanently delete your BookBooth account from within the BookBooth app.

Delete Your Account in the App

Open BookBooth and go to:

Profile → Profile Settings → Account → Delete Account

Follow the confirmation instructions shown in the app.

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.

You can request deletion without reinstalling BookBooth.

Include your BookBooth username, if you know it.

For security, we may ask you to verify that you control the email address associated with the account before processing the request.

Never send us your password.

When your BookBooth account is deleted, BookBooth removes or anonymizes personal account information according to our account-deletion process.

This includes removing or anonymizing applicable profile information and severing applicable account relationships such as follows.

Some content or records may remain in anonymized or retained form where necessary.

For example:

Public posts may remain but will be attributed to Deleted User and will no longer link to your former profile.
Messages may remain in another participant's conversation history with your identity removed and message content handled according to BookBooth's deletion process.
Applicable financial and advertising transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, and legal purposes.
Applicable moderation records may be retained for their established retention period, with identifying information removed where appropriate.
Limited residual anonymized deletion records may be retained for up to 90 days.

In-app deletion is processed through BookBooth's account-deletion system.

Requests submitted by email may require identity verification and manual processing.

We will process verified deletion requests within the period required by applicable law.
